PLEASE READ THROUGHLY

We Pierce 5 years old and up.

Anyone under 18 years old MUST have proper documentation at the time of their appointment:

A parent/legal guardian must be present to sign the consent form in person.

We HAVE TO be able to verify that you are the parent of the minor getting pierced.  We know this seems overkill but do not want to allow anyone else to be able to bring YOUR child to get pierced.

Parent/legal-guardian and minor must both provide all ID and/or documentation requirements including:

     -Parent/legal guardian Photo ID

-Minor Photo ID (school id or yearbook photo will work) Photo ID is not required but it is helpful.

-Birth certificate naming parent and minor (a copy of it is just fine)

-Legal documents supporting name changes (where applicable)

It is not uncommon for the last name of a child to be different from their parent.  We just need to be able to document that you are this child’s parent/legal guardian.  Marriage/divorce or name change documents in addition to birth certificate should work just fine.

We would love to be able to be flexible and allow aunts, grandparents, step parents, or trusted friends to sign for a child to get a piercing but it’s not hard to imagine how this sort of practice could be exploited resulting in an eager parent missing the experience of their child’s first piercings.

If you are not the parent of the minor wanting to get a piercing, you must present court documentation that proves legal guardianship.

Adult ID requirements

In order to receive a piercing at Red Nova Studio, you must fill out a Red Nova studio Release Form and present one of the following forms of identification:

     -State-issued driver's license or state-issued identification card

     -Resident alien card

     -Military identification card

     -Passport

If you are 18 years or older, you are able to get any of the piercings we offer with proper ID.

ESTIMATED INITIAL HEALING TIMES

The following is usually the minimum amount of time needed to heal before it is safe to change your jewelry. Because many factors influence how quickly a piercing will heal, some people will heal faster while others will take longer. Please be aware that these are only initial healing times. Most piercings will take years before they can be left out for any extended length of time without shrinking or closing. Multiple piercings healing simultaneously may result in longer healing times.

Ear Cartilage: 6+ months

Earlobe (up to 14g): 4 Months

Nostril: 4-6+ months
